    Unhappy

The motor finally roared as it was fired up yesterday. The furosious rumble from from the open header almost brought tears of joy to my eyes as I could now see the fruits of our many many hours of labor. I have to give huge and I do me HUGE thanks to my friend Randy of Charlie Thomas Acura for bending over backwards to take this project on. I also have to give credit to some of the guys on this board more specificly to JRCIVIC for the many long conversations and tips he gave me, CROM for the pulley, ONEBADB20 for some despretly needed nick nack parts smile, GSRDPM, and the many others here that have emailed me about the project. Let it be known, you it has been appreciated. Believe it or not, this project was a gigantic one that at times I saw no end but it finally here.

Here is the long awaited set up:
1992 Honda Civic red Hatch Back

    ENGINE:
    Jrsc B18c1 @ 12psi (crv crank & 3.8 pulley, & custom routed belts)
JE pistons 9:1, Total Seal Rings, Endyn Eagle Rods w/ ARP rod bolts, new honda bearings (main&rod), stock gsr head & cams (w/ crower cams springs & retainers awaiting patiently in my bedroom), ARP head studs, Venom 320cc injectors, Cartech FMU, Custom intake, ITR flywheel, ACT heavy duty pressure plate w/ street disc, gsr tranny w/ quaife LSD, gsr radiator w/ 2 12" flexfans in front of radiator, MSD 6a ignition, DC 4-2-1 ceramic header w/ custom 3" piping w/ 40series 3"in&out FLOWMASTER "muffler" (if that is what you want to call it biggrin)

    SUSPENSION:
    AGX Adjustable shocks
    Ground Control coil overs
    Neuspeed front upper strut bar
ITR rear sway bar (probably w/ be yanked)
GSR rear disc brakes and assembly

    BODY:
Gutted completely!! Weighed in at 1865 w/ d15 motor in it. Unknown at this time.
    Plexiglass windows.

The first overall impression of this car was mind numbing. It is FAST as shit. Like usual though we had a few minor bugs to work out and actually still do such as alignment, fuel tunning, etc... But it is a good sign. Ran it aprox 50 miles and no CEL. I will be in the breaking in stage of the motor for the next 500 miles. After that it's off to see some major track and dyno time. I will post some awsome pics as soon as gsrdpm sends'em my way biggrin

    somewhat of an update.

New JR BTC is defective frown. My car will not start w/ it installed. I checked to make sure the 12v was indeed hot. Made sure it was grounded. Cut the ignitor wire from ecu and routed the yellow to ecu and yellow green to engine harness. And also installed the blue wire properly. Dammit... Oh well for now my timing is set at 13 degrees w/ absolutely no detenation audible, could be the lower compression.

My act w/ heavy duty pressure plate and street disc is worthless w/ my set up. It slips its balls off, wereas I didnt have a problem before. Maybe its the extra 6psi??? Oh well.. time to come up w/ 450.00 for a 6 puck and extreme pressure plate.

The 3" exhaust is mind numbing.. I am about to loose my mind driving this car around the streets breaking in the motor, only 200 more miles to go.

I really really need a tach. Unfortunetly my cx did not come w/ a tach and I am having to short shift. I should have one very soon I hope.

Tenative plans will be for onebadb20 myself and a couple of others to go to the track friday. Hopefully we will see what my little baby can do as well as the supercharged b20vtec integra we built up. Should be a fun day at the track. I am still debating weather I should take my slicks. I probably won't considering the condition my clutch is in.

Hey Alex. You dont need to fork out that $450 for the new clutch/pp combo. Spend a fraction of that and just get a ClutchNET 6-puck, sprung hub disk. Keep the ACT heavy-duty pres. plate. You dont want the ACT 6-puck anyway. That thing is way ouch on the flywheel and whole drivetrain.

Congrats on the project. I know what ya mean out the 3" exhaust too. I just got mine done on Monday. Kinda noisy, but the top-end power truly is mind-numbing! eek biggrin
